Avinash is a Knowledge Manager working in the areas of agriculture, food policy and climate change. His current interests lie at the intersection of these areas along with the reduction of global catastrophic and existential risks; processing and analysis of data for decision making and policy formulation.
He is trained in performing advanced statistical analyses including on large to very large datasets by virtue of previous educational qualifications and work experience as a research assistant on diverse assignments in both laboratory as well as naturalistic settings (select eg., include: extracting, structuring and analysis of simulation data from experiments). He has previously been a researcher on organizational routines and decision making in complex conditions, the price volatility effects of phosphorus on food security in an Indian perspective and India’s role in driving climate change impacts of Russian Arctic oil extraction.
Avinash earned M.Sc degree from the Norwegian Business School with a master thesis in cognitive processing, error management training and mindfulness. His work has appeared in award winning interdisciplinary science news services, invited conferences and peer reviewed scientific journals.
