Visit by Trainees undergoing International Training Programme on Rural Development Management and Good Governance organised by National Institute of Rural Development
A delegation of 19 trainees undergoing a training programme on Rural Development Management and Good Governance organised by the National Institute of Rural Development visited CGG on 12th September 2011.
The delegates included Secretaries, Rural Development Officers, Project Managers, Civil Service experts, Field Officers and Master Trainers from 18 countries including inter alia Ghana, Madagascar, Tajikistan, Nepal, Afghanistan, Cambodia and Thailand.
A presentation was made to the delegates on the origin and works of CGG, followed by a discussion on the various facets of governance and accountability and their potential for facilitating better governance. The delegates were interested to know about the CGG and its interaction with Government instututions, Coporate bodies and Political Parties. They also enquired about the institutional works on governance reforms and socail accountability measures undertaken by CGG.
After the presentation the delegates were shown around the IT wing of CGG – the e-development cell - for better understanding of the IT initiatives and their relevance for efficient and speedy public service delivery.
