The sixth meeting of IBSA Working Group on Public Administration was held on 4-5 May 2009 at New Delhi, India. The conference was attended by delegates from South Africa, Brazil and India. The host Indian side was led by Smt. Rajni Razdan, Secretary (Administrative Reforms & Pensions). Mr. Cláudio de Almeida Machado from Ministry of Planning, Brazil, led the Brazilian delegation while Dr Ellen Kornegay led the South African delegation.

During this meeting, the Working Group discussed the presentations made by the focal points from each country on the ‘Concept Notes’ prepared on various thematic areas identified in the MoU. As the focal point from the Indian side on ‘Integrated Monitoring and Evaluation’, Dr. Rajiv Sharma from Centre for Good Governance made a presentation on ‘Integrated Monitoring and Evaluation systems in the public sector’. CGG also presented its concept note on ‘Virtual Centre of Excellence in governance, a knowledge-sharing portal for IBSA working group. The working Group also had a brief discussion on the comments on the draft IBSA Charter. The meeting concluded with the formulation and adoption of IBSA Work-Plan for 2009 by IBSA WGPA.
