Project : Computerization of Legislature: Telangana | Andhra Pradesh

User Department(s):

Telangana Legislature & Andhra Pradesh Legislature

Project Brief:

The “Computerization of Legislature” project was initiated by CGG to develop a world-class web portal providing comprehensive information on legislative procedures, business rules, government development programmes, and constituency-wise initiatives.

The project was launched in 2013 with funding support from MeitY, Government of India. It serves as a comprehensive digital repository for legislative business, including the Governor’s Address, Budget, Bills, Resolutions, Ordinances, Questions & Answers, Notices, and more. The system enables seamless automation of legislative functions through 27 IT modules integrated with GIS technology.

CGG developed and implemented web portals for the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh State Legislatures, making legislative information available in three languages: English, Telugu, and Urdu. The project aims to improve the efficiency of legislative functioning, simplify the work processes of legislature employees, and provide better services to the Hon’ble Members of the Legislature.

Hon’ble Members of the Legislature are provided online access to information such as Questions and Answers, Sessions, Bills, Debates, Statistics, Rules, and Procedures. In addition, the web portal offers detailed information about the Assembly, Council Houses, and presiding officers.

Citizens can also send suggestions via email to their respective constituency representatives through the portal, ensuring the authenticity of citizen communication. The system further facilitates better coordination between departments and members during Assembly sessions and committee meetings through built-in communication and reminder tools for monitoring implementation status.
