Project Brief:

Mana Isuka Vahanam (MIV, English translation ‘My Sand Vehicle’) is a comprehensive web and mobile application designed to facilitate sand procurement and delivery management across Telangana. It offers citizens the convenience of ordering sand from anywhere and at any time, at a government-regulated price, with the ability to track delivery status through the mobile application and receive alerts at each stage of the process. Since its pilot launch in May 2019, TGMIV has demonstrated scalability and is currently operational in 12 districts of Telangana.

The project is the recipient of the National eGovernance Award 2021.

In 2024-25, several major improvements were implemented to enhance the MIV system. The integration of tipper vehicles allowed citizens to book large quantities of sand efficiently, while the introduction of stream-wise sand volume services enabled officers to track the total volume of sand excavated from various sand reaches vis-à-vis the sand delivered. In 2024-25, the MIV application was extended to facilitate sand booking implementation in Suryapet District.

Other key enhancements included the introduction of delivery date and time visibility for police officers and drivers, improving coordination and oversight. The implementation of batch-wise bookings provided greater flexibility, allowing sand deliveries to be rescheduled as needed to accommodate customer preferences and optimize logistics.

Looking ahead, future enhancements include the introduction of an auto-refund feature for cancelled booking, enhancing customer convenience. A booking receipt system via EPOSS machines will be introduced in Gadwal District to improve transparency. Furthermore, the MIV system will be expanded to the new districts of Nizamabad, Khammam and Komaram Bheem, further increasing its reach and operational efficiency. From 2019-25, an amount of Rs.918 Crore has been earned by the Government through MIV.
