Education Qualifications

Essential
|

A master’s or higher degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture / Agri Business/Agricultural Economics / Horticulture / Animal Husbandry / related field

Persons with advanced diploma or degree in the

Agriculture-Horticulture sector, published papers in the relevant field would be preferred.

Desirable
|
-
In-depth knowledge of Agricultural policies / Programmes and best practices at the state and national level.
-
Proficiency in using modern agricultural technologies, precision forming techniques and farm management systems
-
Familiarity with climate resilient and sustainable agriculture practices to address environmental challenges
-
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software allows for data – driven decision making and evidence – based programming.

Experience
|

Minimum 8 years’ extensive experience in

agriculture and allied sectors

With a focus on agricultural development, rural development, or agri. business etc.

Proven track record of successful project implementation and management in the agriculture domain

Ability to plan implement and evaluate agricultural development projects

Coordination skills to work with various

stakeholders including Government agencies,
-
Farmer’s associations, NGOs, and private sector partners
-
The experience of internship / training will not be considered

Job description / Duties & Responsibilities
|
-
Maintain synergy between the Planning Department, Lead Knowledge Institution and NITI Aayog.
-
To assist State in achieving the objective in collaboration with NITI Aayog and LKI
-
Ability to conduct research analyze data and interpret agricultural trends for evidence-based decision making
-
Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges in the agriculture sector and propose innovative solutions
-
Agro processing of herbal products for export-import capacity building with institutional support.
-
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders including farmers, policy makers and rural communities.
-
Capacity to design and conduct capacity building programmes for farmers and agricultural stakeholders
-
Evaluation and assessment of existing strategies, methodologies, and systems to improve the socio-economic condition of the State.
-
Preparation of development strategy, sectoral targets, socio economic goals, State Vision @ 2047, SDG Reports as per the state’s requirement and road map to achieve the same
-
Draft policy briefs, presentations, and other documents.
-
Coordination with development partners and technical agency concerned.
-
Support mechanisms for strengthening horizontal and vertical coordination within Government.
-
Coordinate with State officials for preparation of
-
project proposals to be taken up for implementation by the State Government.
-
Assist State in strengthening the innovation ecosystem.
-
Assist State in strengthening the monitoring and evaluation ecosystem.
-
Create and facilitate cross learning platforms.
-
Documentation of activities and emerging good practices performed by the PIU and DAU.
-
Support in preparation of State, regional and sectoral reports on regular basis.
-
Support regular updates on progress in State using the Dashboard / portal maintained by NITI Aayog.
-
Support in organizing workshops and other events related to the focus sectors, including preparation of inputs for the workshops.
-
Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor (Team Leader) as may be necessary in the interest of the Mission.

Knowledge and Skills
|

Experience in Stake holder management

Experience in drafting reports and reviewing detailed project Reports
-
Prior experience with Government, UN agencies and other international organizations is desirable.

Knowledge and experience related to National/State planning
-
Excellent Analytical & Problem-solving skills

Languages Requirements
|

Excellent verbal and written English, Telugu language skills and demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in a multi-cultural Environment.
