Position : Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Farmer Produce Organisation (FPO) for Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP)

CEO- FARMER PRODUCER ORGANIZATION (FPO)

Roles

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will serve as the full-time, FPO head and ex-officio director of the FPO. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors (BoD), the CEO will bridge the gap between community-level farming and institutional agri-business. The primary mandate is to achieve long-term economic sustainability for the FPO

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the overall operations and resources of FPO on daily basis
  • Making major company decisions with approval of BoDs
  • Acting as the main point of communication between the board of directors and company operations and being the public ltd. company
  • Design and operationalize viable business lines: input supply business (seeds, fertilizers, pesticides), custom hiring centres for farm machinery, farm-gate processing, cleaning, assaying, grading, sorting, packaging, and cold chain logistics.
  • Maintain all statutory registers, book accounts, share certificates, and membership records with the assistance of the FPO Accountant.
  • Mobilize more farmers and monetize equity share capital from farmer-members to secure the Govt. of India Matching Equity Grant.
  • Cultivating deeper customer relationships
  • Manage day-to-day budgets, cash flows, and immediate payouts to farmers upon crop delivery to sustain grassroot trust.
  • Onboard the FPO onto digital trade platforms like e-NAM, ONDC, and integrate tech-driven MIS tools for traceable supply chains.
  • Leading the development of the company's short, long-term strategy.
  • Liaise with Government departments to secure licenses for input dealerships (fertilizers, seeds) and enlist the FPO in MSP procurement.

Qualification

  • Should be either Graduate and/or Diploma holder in agriculture / agriculture marketing / agri-business management or BBA or equivalent.

Experience

1+ years of experience of working for farmers at grassroot-level

Remuneration

Maximum up to Rs.25,000/month (Rs. 20,000 Fixed Salary + Rs. 3000 TA/DA + Rs. 2000 Performance Based)with annual increment up to 5% is to be provided on performance basis
