Education Qualifications

 

Essential

  • Masters in Economics /Finance or Business Administration MBA with Finance

Desirable

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • In-depth understanding of economics and financial concepts.
  • Awareness of current events and market trends
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software allows for data – driven decision making and evidence – based programming.

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years’ extensive experience relevant to job description
  • Preference will be given to persons with work experience in economics & finance sectors., Implementation of programmes
  • Candidates should also have demonstrated experience relating to working in team, managing projects as well as conducting stakeholder engagement.

Job description / Duties & Responsibilities

  • To collaborate with renowned institutions such as RBI, NIPFP, NCAER, ICR, IER, CDE, World Bank,IMF, LSC etc. for keeping the Economic Growth Road Map aligned to latest advancement in economics and finance sector.
  • Provide independent insight on strategy proposed by consultancy for on economics and finance sector to achieve One Trillion Dollar economy.
  • To lead analytical work related to macro -economic, financial market research economic forecasting risk, financial statement, economic development study, market, and consumer surveys etc.
  • To monitor the KPIs related economics and Finance sector for To design and conduct field survey and studies on economic and finance sector of the economy in collaboration with organization of national and international repute
  • To prepare various sector related state indices on line of indices prepare by NITI Aayog, UN Organization etc.
  • Preparation of Economics & Finance sector development
  • strategies, sectoral targets, socio economic goals, State Vision @ 2047, and road map to achieve the same.
  • Evaluation and assessment of existing strategies, methodologies, and systems to improve the socio-economic condition of the State.
  • Draft policy briefs, presentations, and other documents.
  • Coordination with development partners and technical agency concerned.
  • Support mechanisms for strengthening horizontal and vertical coordination within Government.
  • Coordinate with State officials for preparation of project proposals to be taken up for implementation by the State Government.
  • Assist State in strengthening the innovation ecosystem.
  • Assist State in strengthening the monitoring and evaluation ecosystem.
  • Create and facilitate cross learning platforms.
  • Documentation of activities and emerging good practices performed by the PIU and DAU.
  • Support in preparation of State, regional and sectoral reports on regular basis.
  • Support regular updates on progress in State using the Dashboard / portal maintained by NITI Aayog.
  • Support in organizing workshops and other events related to the focus sector including preparation of inputs for the workshops.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor (Team Leader) as may be necessary in the interest of the Mission.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience in Stake holder management
  • Experience in drafting reports and reviewing detailed project Reports
  • Prior experience with Government, UN agencies and other international organizations is desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience related to National/State planning
  • Excellent Analytical & Problem-solving skills

Languages Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written English, Telugu language skills and demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in a multi-cultural Environment.

Leave

  • Entitled to have State government enlisted holidays
  • Individuals will be entitled to leaves of (18) days in the entire year
