Job Profile
The Technical Project Manager shall have overall responsibility for coordination, supervision, monitoring, and governance of Data Center operations executed through the designated Managers. The role is strategic, supervisory, and technical-oversight oriented, and not meant for day-to-day execution of individual operational tasks.
Educational Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Technology / Engineering (Computer Science / IT / ECE) or MCA or MSc (Computer Science / IT) from a reputed institute. Master’s Degree in Technology / Engineering is preferable.
Certifications (Desirable)
Certifications in IT Infrastructure, Networking, Virtualization, Cloud, Databases, or Cyber Security from reputed OEMs / organizations will be an added advantage.
Minimum Experience Required
- Minimum 18 years of experience in Data Centre and IT Infrastructure environments
- At least 5 years in a managerial / technical leadership role
- Prior hands-on experience in Linux & Windows server environments, databases (Oracle / PostgreSQL / MS SQL), virtualization, networking, and cloud platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Responsibilities
- Expected Skills
1.1. Technical Oversight Expertise
- Strong understanding of on-premise Data Centre infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, firewalls, virtualization, backup, and DR environments
- Sound knowledge of Linux and Windows platforms, enterprise application hosting, databases, virtualization (VMware), and cloud services (AWS)
- Working knowledge of networking and security technologies, including firewalls, load balancers, VLANs, routing, endpoint security, and monitoring tools
- Awareness of Data Centre, application, and information security practices, aligned with standards such as ISO 27001, CIS, NIST, and OWASP
- Familiarity with DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and VDI environments
- Note: The role requires technical depth for effective supervision and review, not routine operational execution.
1.2. Leadership & Project Management
- Ability to lead and supervise multiple technical teams through designated Managers
- Strong planning, coordination, documentation, and reporting skills
- Experience in vendor coordination, procurement planning, and contract / AMC management
- Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, change, asset management)

- Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide overall supervision, coordination, and governance of Data Centre and IT Infrastructure operations executed through designated Managers.
- Act as the single point of accountability for end-to-end Data Centre operations, ensuring seamless coordination across DC & DR, Cloud & Systems, and Network & Security domains.
- Monitor, review, and guide the activities, performance, and deliverables of Managers against defined KPIs, SLAs, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure effective inter-manager coordination to address cross-functional dependencies and operational risks.
- Review and approve technical plans, architecture decisions, change proposals, and major initiatives submitted by Managers.
- Oversee planning and execution of capacity planning, infrastructure upgrades, cloud initiatives, backup strategies, DR drills, and security controls through respective Managers.
- Monitor incidents, outages, security events, and escalations, ensuring RCA and corrective actions are completed and tracked.
- Serve as the primary escalation and reporting authority to senior management on Data Centre operations and risks.
- Oversee vendor interactions, procurement activities, AMC renewals, and license management, ensuring compliance with organizational procedures.
- Ensure documentation, SOPs, asset registers, and compliance records are maintained and periodically reviewed.
- Coordinate with audit and compliance teams to ensure readiness for internal and external audits.
- Drive standardization, continuous improvement, and adoption of best practices across Data Centre and IT Infrastructure operations.
- Ensure governance over physical and logical access controls, security posture monitoring, and incident reporting.
- Address dynamic requirements and special assignments related to CGG IT Infrastructure as directed by higher authorities.
