Description

This action Research Project, ‘Farm viability-centric interventions in Agriculture and Allied Sectors’ is aimed at creating regionally differentiated work plans arising out of Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) among Departments of Agriculture and allied sectors, bankers, insurance providers and Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).
Agriculture Management Resource Group (AMRG) at Centre for Good Governance (CGG) is playing the role of Design, Implement (coordinate), Monitoring and Evaluation (DIME) Partner for this project.
At the village level, the emphasis is on making an arrangement to provide for Institutional Support for locally felt needs. It is firmly believed, that the services which emerge from Clients (farmers) need urgent attention provided the demand attains a critical mass. Such demand driven approach from the lower levels provides better inputs for customization of schemes within the Mandal/District level. Periodic village level meetings with the participation of Mandal and District level officials will lend credibility to the service delivery apparatus.
Sensitization of agriculture and its allied sector Officials, to the changed approach is critical for effective implementation of work plans. In order to achieve this objective, a series of capacity building workshops and on field sessions would be conducted.
MoUs among stakeholders and CGG have been formalized for implementation, spread over three cropping years beginning with Kharif 2015. At the end of implementation cycle, an end line will be taken up for evaluating the effectiveness of implementation of work plans.
Currently, CGG has partnered with the following Government and Private sector agencies for dissemination of knowledge and development of market linkages.
