Interactive Workshop with Ministers and Senior Officials from Asia Pacific Nations April 06, 2013
CGG hosted an interactive workshop for Ministers, Director Generals, Heads of Departments, Experts, Advisors and Senior Public Officials from Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen and Sri Lanka on April 06, 2013. The workshop was facilitated by the Housing and Urban Development Corporation, Government of India. The participants were briefed on CGGs work in the urban governance domain, including inter-alia, its work on pro-poor budgeting and reservation, formulation of Urban Sector Strategy for West Bengal, managing urban growth using town planning schemes in AP, legal framework for accrual based accounting in Urban Local Bodies, land use change-studies etc. In addition, the key assignments undertaken by CGG in Governance reforms, including Transparency and Accountability and those pertaining to Public-Service Delivery improvement across various domains like Health, Education and Agriculture were also discussed. Mr. S.K.Sinha, I.A.S., Principal Secretary to Government, G.A. (G,PM &AR) Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh and Director General (FAC), CGG; Mr. C.R.Kamalnathan, I.A.S. (Retd.), Advisor, CGG (Formerly Secretary to Government of India, Spl. Chief Secretary and Vigilance Commissioner, Government of A.P) and other senior officers of CGG interacted with the participants.
